Presence: what you communicate before speaking
Alma Expresiva · by Annette Briones
Before the first word you've already communicated: your posture, your gaze, how you enter a room or a frame. Presence is that prior message, and it usually weighs more than the speech.
Presence isn't acting or faking confidence. It's occupying your space with intention, holding your gaze, letting the body support what you say instead of contradicting it.
When presence and message align, people believe. That coherence is, in the end, what makes a communicator memorable.
